Designed by Panasonic for the FZ-55 TOUGHBOOK mark 3, the FZ-VEW553W is a great way to add networking capabilities to a post-factory FZ-55. Able to be installed by the user, the FZ-VEW553W fits into the left expansion (media bay) area of the TOUGHBOOK 55. Sliding into the expansion slot, the user will secure the FZ-VEW553W in place with (included) screws. The FZ-VEW553W provides both 4G LTE and 5G capabilities to the FZ-55 and can be activated on major carriers such as AT&T and Verizon with the 4FF SIM or with an eSIM. The FZ-VEW553W is compatible with AT&T FirstNet. The FZ-VEW553W is ONLY compatible with the mark 3 FZ-55 and may impede the TOUGHBOOK from being compatible with some vehicle docks or accessories, please check with a Rugged or Die sales rep to ensure your TOUGHBOOK configuration is compatible.
