Getac F120 Fully Rugged Tablet

Getac F120 Tablet Overview

Designed by Getac from the ground up as an AI enabled tablet, the fully rugged F120 brings new life to the popular F100 series of rugged tablets. Set to replace the F110, the F120 tablet optimizes popular features and sets the next generation of Getac tablets to take full advantage of AI. As a rugged tablet, the F120 prioritizes mobility and enables users to utilize it in the roughest environments but Getac has struck a great balance of mobility, durability and high performance. With a 12.2 inch display that can reach an astounding 1,200 nits of brightness, the F120 increases the usable work surface over its predecessor the F110. Now featuring dual hot-swappable batteries, the F120 can maintain continuous performance and eliminate downtime.

Fully Rugged F120 and Copilot+

In May of 2024, Microsoft announced a new set of standards and a certification known as Copilot+. The Copilot+ certification is a technical standard indicating that a PC is rated to perform optimally to be able to run artificial intelligence processes. Some of the standards include requiring the PC to have an NPU, at least 16GB or RAM and 256GB SSD. The Getac F120 tablet is one of the first rugged computers to include a neural processor unit (NPU) that is capable of over 40 trillion operations per second; with minimum specs exceeding the necessary criteria, the F120 is fully certified as a Copilot+ PC. Built to perform the processor intensive AI driven tasks, the Getac F120 is capable of multi-tasking and enabling the operator with higher efficiency and capabilities.

Getac F120 Wireless Capabilities

While 4G LTE has become a staple in the wireless connectivity of rugged computers, the Getac F120 further optimizes on connections across the board. With Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 as a default feature, the F120 can take advantage of the latest IoT connections and speeds. 4G LTE, 5G Sub-6 and integrated GPS as connectivity options when an F120 is being manufactured, allow the user to purchase an F120 that fits what kind of connections they need while saving budget if not needed.

Getac F120 Hardware Upgrades

Getac has developed a host of optional hardware upgrades to optimize the F120 to any mission parameters. Two of the most popular hardware upgrades for the F120 are the OEM attachable keyboard and handle. Attaching to the tablet, the keyboard and handle increase user efficiency and mobility while retaining the ability to strip the F120 back down to a pure tablet at a moments notice. Other optional features on the Getac F120 that can be selected during manufacturing are the popular barcode imager, additional interface ports, RFID reader and fingerprint reader

F120 Durability and Certifications

Getac is known for creating some of the most robust and durable rugged tablets and computers in the market today. The F120 pushes the hardware durability certifications of the Getac catalog even further. Even with a 12.2 inch display, the F120 has a 6 foot drop rating and features IP66 protection. While ANSI hazardous zone certification as an optional rating are becoming common place in the rugged industry, Getac has also allowed for a less common optional salt fog resistance rating. With salt fog resistance, the F120 is perfect for operating in environments such as dockyards, oil and gas platforms and other maritime applications that would typically destroy electronics.

The F120 Getac tablet is a great addition to an already robust and popular rugged computer catalog. Set to be future proofed with from-the-ground-up design to maximize AI usage and efficiency, the F120 will provide years of above standard performance.
