With confidence in the product quality and durability as well as a desire for top of the line customer experience, Getac covers most of their rugged computer and rugged tablet line with a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. Included in the price of the new unit with no additional charge, the Getac bumper to bumper warranty covers not only manufacturer defects and dead on arrival components, it also covers accidental damage for the duration of the warranty. The only unit models NOT covered under a bumper to bumper warranty by default are the Getac S410 and S510 rugged laptops (which are covered under a more standard manufacturer defect warranty only.)

With an easy to use warranty service request system, Getac has worked to ensure that a customer issue is quickly resolved with minimal hassle. Getac has provided an easy diagnostic assistant to allow users to check if the issue encountered is a software problem that can be corrected without having to send the unit in for repair. With a model and serial number, a user can quickly determine if their computer is up to date by utilizing the Getac Diagnostic Assistant https://www.getac.com/intl/help-support/getac-diagnostic-assistant/ If it is determined that the unit is in fact suffering a hardware related failure, initiating a warranty repair or replacement is accomplished by creating an online account and accessing the Getac Service System: https://rma.getac.com/WEB/ With an online account, the computer RMA process is easily tracked, ensuring that the user has easy access to clear shipping instructions, RMA status, shipping and tracking updates etc.

Getac Warranty Upgrades

In addition to the standard 3 year warranty (bumper to bumper on all units except the S410 and S510) Getac allows users to upgrade rugged computer warranties for even further or more convenient coverage. Getac warranty upgrades include being able to extend the 3 year warranty all the way up to 7 years, increasing the battery warranty coverage from standard 12 months to the life of the unit, able to cover select accessories such as Havis or Gamber Johnson vehicle docking stations and LIND power adapters for up to 5 years and more. The Getac Self Maintainer Program allows users to maintain a fleet of Getac computers with supported in-warranty repairs that don't require the units to be sent into the manufacturer for repair. The Self-Maintainer program allows users to request for select parts (port covers, chassis parts etc.) to be sent in to perform a self-repair of the computer and keep it operating and deployed and minimize user down time.
