Getac X600 Durability
The Getac X600 ultra rugged computer is one of the most durable computers Getac has brought to market to date. Featuring an IP66 rating (See our full Ingress Protection Rating Blog Here), a MIL-STD-8160H and MIL-STD-461G rating, and a 6 foot drop rating, the Getac X600 doesn't stop at the basic rugged expectations. Able to function at -20 to 145 degrees Fahrenheit, the X600 and X600 Pro both can be optionally salt fog certified as well as being rated for operation in a Class 1 Division 2 environment, making the rugged computer ideal for oil and gas industry applications. Even with all of the durable engineering achieved, the X600 still is extremely portable being less than two inches thick.
Getac X600 Notable Features
As one of the largest rugged computers on the market, the X600 features a crisp sunlight viewable full HD 15.6 inch display that has optional touch input. With such a large display, the X600 also delivers high performance with 11th generation (at the time of writing this article) Intel Core i5 or i7 processors making it great for mobile workstations. Boasting hot swappable dual batteries, the X600 has a number of optional features to increase functionality such as 4GL TE, 5G, expandable storage, additional interface ports, dedicated GPS and Smart Card readers.
Getac X600 Pro Series
If the Getac X600 isn't enough for some users, Getac has introduced the Getac X600 Pro-PCI. Built for users that need all day rugged durability, the X600 Pro adds an additional 2 hot swappable batteries for a total of 4 batteries. Even with a large sunlight viewable display, the Getac laptop can still achieve an impressive 24 hours of run time. Along with the additional batteries, the X600 Pro adds dual PCI/PCIe expansion slots for add-on card functionality, Express Card 54 and PCMCIA Type II card readers as well as a standard DVD super-multi drive (able to be upgraded to Blu-Ray ray optionally.) With the added features in the X600 Pro Series, Getac has made the ultimate rugged workstation.
